Moving and the army to date

Going to be moving very, very soon, so updates will be sparse here for a bit.

While I am here though I'll post what I've gotten complete so far as a marker in time, hope you like what you see, and I'll post as soon as I can.

Just put it over there, thanks

  2. I'm going to try to make it, not to play, but to get out of the house if I can. Packing like a mad man for the move. :)

  3. Huzzah, another Nihilakh player! You must have put a fair amount of time into these, as you have probably twice the models done I do, and I have been painting fairly consistently since they came out.

Great job on the paint job. Did you use the white dwarf article painting guide or just wing it? Interesting use of blue energy instead of green; does it have a fluff justification, or did you just like the looks?

I have to ask...did you base that monolith (as displayed at theunholyharbinger.com) on mine? http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/416131.page

Because it is a friggin dead ringer, from the stippling to the edge wear on the turquoise blocks.

Needless to say, I love it. :)

  4. Oh, and was that Triarch Stalker as much a pain for you as it was for me? I think it was the most difficult model I've ever had to paint, at least in this color scheme.

  5. Hey Blake, To answer your questions I looked at the codex and then winged it, of course then WD came out and told blow by blow directions. :D

The tesla I felt would look better with blue electricity vs. gaussian green, even though the traditional power source is green. It was an experiment that was a lot of fun to see come to life, but I have to practice a lot more.

I hadn't seen your monolith until now, so I was going entirely off the codex, but looking at yours I really like your use of green to glow effect all the sources of power/portals.. very very cool!

Actually I loved the Stalker, but only because I had suffered through two ghost arks first! Had those Arks not been in the plan I would agree, they're a bit awkward.

Thanks for the good comments, and I look forward to seeing more of your stuff online as you finish.
